New item updates in: Other Finery

As promised, three gorgeous one-of-a-kind church fans by Lady V. Each is festooned with feathers, filigree ornaments, decorative patterned finishes, elegant scroll braid trim, and an antique silver-plated handle. Great as functional fans or decadent decor!

Odds & Ends & Bits & Bobs [ Nov. 27th, 2009 | 11:08 pm ]

New item updates in: Pins, Other Finery

It's true, I'm a packrat. I have so many odds and ends lying around that I never do anything with, so earlier this month I decided to start using up all the things I've been putting aside. And you know, it's more fun than I thought it would be! Here's two examples:

A one-of-a-kind adjustable filigree finger ring featuring a very weird-coloured vintage glass stone. It's best described as "brandywine" because it's sort of reddy, sort of ambery, and sort of burgundy, depending what light is shining on it. There is also another ring but with a blue oval shaped stone (same filigree base).

And second, a limited edition of two Steampunk influenced brooches festooned with viintage clock parts, bead caps, and chains. The base is a diamond-shaped steel filigree.

Techincally speaking each brooch is one-of-a-kind, since no two vintage clocks are created equal (so matching cogs is a bit difficult). But they're similar enough that one photo for both will suffice. :)

Coming soon: folks, you are going to want to stay tuned! Lady V gave me some one-of-a-kind "church" fans she made recently, with ornate antique silver handles, oodles of feathers, and garnished with antique silver filigrees. Let's put it this way, even Marie Antoinette would have been right at home with these. I kid you not, they are to DIE FOR!!! I will probably get one listed before the weekend is over, but come Monday night all 3 should be done. I'll do another post then so you can't miss them.

Pearl & Lace Cameo [ Nov. 17th, 2009 | 10:15 pm ]

New item update in: Cameos

I had a bunch of oversize vintage 1980's ornate metalized acrylic settings at one time and was down to my last one, so I decided to make a very romantic cameo brooch:

One of a kind. It's quite large (about 2 1/2" x 3") and the cameo is framed with a ruffle of black lace (hard to see in the photo) and tiny white fused faux pearls, with more lace & pearls tied in a bow at the bottom. Locking pin on back.

Those of you following us on FaceBook will have already seen these, but since I post actual fashion photos on LJ so rarely I thought I would share these most recent ones:

Sent to us just last night by a customer in Germany (isn't she gorgeous??):

Model: Caroline (Madame de Corbeau) Photo: Trashpixels
You'll recognize the hat and handbag, I'm sure. ;)
